The civil Society movement against corruption led by ANNA HAZARE was the most talking point of the year 2011. Youth rallied behind him and joined hands to fight against corruption. The government could not bring up a strong LOKPAL BILL at the end of last year. Meanwhile, the bill has passed in lok sabha and Rajya Sabha failed to pass it.Many bollywood stars and prominent people from various fields supported Anna Hazare and took out rallies to throw corruption out of India. Even the software professionals from various MNCs actively participated in these rallies.
Anna has to fast in Mumbai again to fight for a stronger lokpall bill which had poor turnout forcing Anna to abandon his fast. After poor turn out of people for Mumbai fast, STAR News-Nielsen has conducted a survey which was taken on students indicated Anna Hazare still has lot of support. But the same survey also indicated opinions from people that Anna may not be able to eliminate corruption completely.
But one thing for sure the entire episode including Anna fight against corruption, ultimately his arrest caught the international media attention denting our reputation.
Let us keep supporting Anna Hazare coming days and lets hope we will see a corruption free India soon.
